The Hudson Valley in winter is a beautiful destination for this intensive color workshop
with master painter Beth Rundquist.  The painting classes will take place at the art studio at  Olana, the inspiring,
home of the Hudson River School painter, Frederic Edwin Church.  Artists will study color and create a series of
                                                       color charts .
The Workshop includes full accommodations at Shady Glen,  a restored local farmhouse and delicious meals
prepared by talented local Hudson Valley chefs.  Workshop participants will have an opportunity to take a special
tour of Church’s Persian-inspired home which is situated at the summit of a landscape that offers unparalleled
views of the Hudson River and the mountains beyond.

This Color Chart Workshop will deliver exercises in color and provide invaluable references to know how to mix the exact color you require.  We will explore a range of tints (color diluted with white). The 1st set using the basic colors on the palette and the 2nd set mixing color. The student will come away with a deeper knowledge of  specific colors, color relationships, color mixing and the distinct hues and values of  individual colors.

The Workshop will start the evening of February 20th with an introductory dinner
and end on Sunday, February 23
