Olana, the historic home and studio of Hudson River painter, Frederic Church, is the location and inspiration for a 3-day/3-night Plein-Air Workshop with master painter, Beth Rundquist. Olana has a variety of inspirational vistas and Beth works with sensitivity to each students level to develop and expand their skills through keen observation of nature and architecture. The workshop includes full accommodations at Shady Glen, a restored local farmhouse and delicious meals prepared by talented local Hudson Valley chefs.
Beth Rundquist began her study of art as an undergraduate at Smith College. She has studied drawing and painting at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Connecticut, L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris and the Repin Institute of Russia in St. Petersburg. Beth has traveled in the U.S. and abroad to paint commissioned portraits and has received numerous awards for her paintings. She has taught for 20 years both privately and at the New York Academy of Art. Her paintings hang in private and public collections around the world.
